How do I begin my personal fitness training sessions?

Call and schedule a complementary interview with the director of personal fitness training at (626) 449-9181. At that interview you will receive a full tour of our facilities and a determination of appropriateness for personal fitness training will be made. Our offices have several personal trainers with diverse fitness backgrounds and we want to pair you up with the perfect trainer. We train individuals with many fitness backgrounds ranging from seniors and individuals with little to no fitness backgrounds to high level elite athletes.

What happens on the first session?

You will receive a thorough fitness assessment that will give the trainer a better picture of your fitness condition. We will discuss your fitness goals and perform the following assessments: body fat composition, metabolic assessment, girth measurements, body weight, resting blood pressure and heart rate, and functional assessment tests.

How long do the sessions last?

One session typically lasts for one hour.

How should I dress?

You should wear clothing that is appropriate for fitness training. This can include shorts, t-shirts, gym shoes, or sweats. If you prefer, we have changing areas in the office where you can change into your fitness training attire.

What makes Functional Fitness training different from other personal training offices?

At Functional Fitness, our clients are trained for strength, cardiovascular endurance, balance, trunk stability and improved body composition. All of our trainers are college degreed and hold elite certifications (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists, National Strength & Conditioning Association). Each program is custom designed for each clients specific needs, whether they be age related, conditioning for pre- or post- rehab, weight loss or just to lose a few pounds.

How much does this training program cost?

Our rates are designed to encourage you to come in to our facilities and train as much as possible. Therefore the more frequently you train, the less you pay. Specific rates are discussed during the initial interview.
